René Gascou



Since the mid-1970's, Mr. Gascou has tried numerous complex civil cases. A former deputy public defender, Mr. Gascou has tried to conclusion over 100 cases. He has substantial litigation and trial experience, and has handled major matters in administrative, bankruptcy, probate, arbitration, and mediation proceedings for a wide range of clients nationally, including in California, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and Texas.

He has also successfully defended two quasi-criminal contempt proceedings filed against the Director of one of the largest departments of the City of Los Angeles.

His bankruptcy litigation experience includes unsecured creditors committee representation of one of the firm’s clients with exposure in excess of 100 million dollars. 

He has testified as an expert witness relating to construction issues, and is a member of the Roundtable Group and Forensis Group of experts.
